Development Engineer

Our team is currently looking for a Development Engineer – Powertrain for one of our clients in the Automotive Industry.

• Develop engineering plans for new powertrain concepts, systems, and component development.
• Support the full product development lifecycle from initial concept through testing, validation, and production.
• Develop and execute test and validation activities required to meet project and performance objectives.
• Create detailed test plans, procedures, and engineering documentation.
• Perform powertrain development and testing activities using appropriate test equipment and instrumentation.
• Collect, process, and analyze test data to evaluate system and component performance.
• Identify technical issues during development and support troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Work with engineering teams to evaluate test results and recommend appropriate design or development actions.
• Support powertrain and component validation to ensure established performance and durability requirements are achieved.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate development and test results to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Perform other engineering duties as required to support development programs.

• B.S. degree or equivalent relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  .
• Minimum 5 years of experience in powertrain development and testing
  .
• Experience with internal combustion engines and/or electrified powertrain systems
  .
• Strong engineering foundation in areas such as thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
  .
• Hands-on experience with test planning, procedure development, data acquisition, and engineering data analysis.
• Experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data logging hardware, software, and test instrumentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to accurately interpret test data and apply engineering principles to development activities.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working independently and within a team-based engineering environment.
• Ability to organize and document engineering activities, test results, and technical findings.
