Engineer (Land Development)
Volt is immediately hiring a Direct Hire Engineer (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA.
As an Engineer, you will:
- Support the design and development of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utility, and roadway improvements.
- Prepare engineering calculations, plans, and technical documents for project deliverables.
- Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
- Apply engineering principles and industry standards to develop practical design solutions.
- Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, drafters, and clients throughout project execution.
- Assist in evaluating design alternatives and resolving technical challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to entry-level engineers and drafting staff as needed.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 2+ years of experience supporting land development projects.
- Working knowledge of site grading, stormwater, utility, and roadway design principles.
- Proficiency with CADD, engineering software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of engineering calculations, design practices, and technical documentation.
- Experience performing QA/QC reviews on engineering deliverables.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and budgets.
Pay Rate: $75,000 - $110,000 annually.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
