Our client is a global medical technology innovator developing advanced implantable and hearing-related technologies that improve the lives of patients around the world. As they continue to expand their next-generation product portfolio, they are seeking two Senior Systems Engineers to play a critical role in bridging hardware, firmware, software, and IC development efforts.
This is a highly visible position for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of multiple disciplines and influencing product architecture from concept through commercialization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at the system level while remaining hands-on with embedded development, testing, integration, troubleshooting, and product validation.
Key Responsibilities- Own system requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serve as the technical bridge between ASIC/IC, Electrical, Firmware, Software, and Systems Engineering teams.
- Define system-level requirements and drive feature implementation across complex electronic products.
- Support ASIC and chip development efforts, including requirements definition, hardware bring-up, characterization, debugging, and feature validation.
- Collaborate closely with firmware teams on embedded architectures, algorithms, integration strategies, and testing methodologies.
- Perform system-level analysis, root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and tradeoff evaluations.
- Support feasibility studies, prototype development, verification activities, and commercial product launches.
- Participate in requirements management, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision-making.
- Help guide cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges while ensuring successful project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong embedded systems experience, preferably with ARM and STM
32 platforms. - Hands-on experience with embedded firmware development and hardware bring-up activities.
- Proven experience supporting products from concept through commercialization.
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation, instrument control, testing, and data analysis.
- Experience working across hardware, firmware, software, and IC development environments.
- Ability to read schematics and understand component-level design decisions.
- Experience performing system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- ASIC or integrated circuit development experience.
- Digital electronics, FPGA, RTL, digital logic, or chip validation experience.
- MATLAB, SPICE, simulation, modeling, or electronic analysis tools.
- Medical device experience, particularly implantable, electro-mechanical, or highly regulated products.
- Experience with requirements management and systems engineering methodologies.
- Exposure to reliability engineering, failure analysis, and product verification processes.
