Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect serves as a strategic technology leader responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the organization's enterprise architecture. Operating with minimal supervision, this role provides technical vision, architectural guidance, and strategic leadership to ensure technology investments align with business objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and long-term organizational goals.

This position is responsible for designing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, technology roadmaps, cloud strategies, infrastructure standards, security architectures, and integration patterns across business and technology domains. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Enterprise Architect collaborates with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to evaluate emerging technologies, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.

Additionally, the Enterprise Architect establishes architectural standards, policies, and best practices, ensures alignment with governance and compliance requirements, and leads continuous improvement efforts across the technology landscape. This role serves as the technical authority for enterprise-wide initiatives, providing strategic direction, solution design oversight, and guidance to project teams while promoting innovation, operational excellence, and technology modernization.

Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy:

  • Develop, maintain and govern the Organization's enterprise architecture framework, technology standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Align business objectives, operational requirements, and technology investments to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and cost-effective.
  • Establish architectural principles, governance processes, and technology standards to support operational excellence.

Solution Architecture & Technology Leadership:

  • Lead the design and review of enterprise technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards, and architectural best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, data, and business application initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to business and technology stakeholders, translating business needs into effective technology solutions.
  • Mentor technical teams and provide architecture oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Infrastructure & Network Support:

  • Provide technical leadership and support for enterprise infrastructure platforms, including servers, storage, networking, telecommunications systems, cloud services, and facility-based technology solutions.
  • Administer and maintain critical infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, identity management, authentication services, file systems, access controls, and enterprise connectivity.
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless technologies, UPS systems, fiber infrastructure, and structured cabling.
  • Lead and support infrastructure upgrades, technology deployments, equipment lifecycle initiatives, disaster recovery solutions, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance reliability, security, and performance.

Cybersecurity & Compliance:

  • Define and maintain enterprise security architecture standards and strategies aligned with organizational risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance objectives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate security-by-design principles into enterprise infrastructure, cloud, application, and identity solutions.
  • Establish architecture standards for identity and access management, MFA, endpoint security, vulnerability management, monitoring, and data protection.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with regulatory, contractual, and governance requirements, including CMMC, NIST, and industry best practices.

Telecommunications & Security Architecture:

  • Define and govern enterprise architectures for telecommunications, collaboration platforms, physical security technologies, and facility-based technology solutions.
  • Establish standards and roadmaps for VoIP, unified communications, access control systems, surveillance technologies, and related enterprise platforms.
  • Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance for implementation, modernization, integration, and lifecycle management of telecommunications and security technologies.
  • Ensure enterprise communications and security architectures align with business objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and operational needs.
