We are seeking an experienced, service-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide hands‑on technical support to employees and serve as a key onsite resource for day‑to‑day IT operations.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional IT helpdesk and support experience, strong Windows and Microsoft 365 skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a highly organized, process‑oriented approach. This role requires someone who takes ownership of issues, communicates well with users, documents their work, and knows when to resolve an issue independently versus escape it to our managed IT service provider.
The IT Support Specialist will also help train and mentor IT interns, providing guidance on troubleshooting, equipment deployment, documentation, security practices, and day‑to‑day IT procedures.
What You’ll Do:- Provide onsite support for Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, applications, printers, peripherals, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot problems thoroughly, resolve routine issues independently, and upscale complex issues with clear documentation and troubleshooting details.
- Prepare, configure, deploy, replace, and recover computers and other IT equipment.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and equipment changes.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory, IT documentation, tickets, and equipment records.
- Assist with user accounts, permissions, Microsoft Entra /Active Directory, MFA, and other routine administrative tasks.

- Train and mentor IT interns or less‑experienced personnel on technical procedures, troubleshooting, documentation, and IT best practices.
- Identify recurring problems and recommend improvements that make IT support more efficient and reliable.
The successful candidate is someone who fixes problems, not just tickets. You troubleshoot before escalating, document what you find, improve processes, keep equipment and information organized, and communicate when something is delayed or requires assistance.
You also recognize recurring problems, help turn them into repeatable processes, and take pride in helping interns and less‑experienced team members develop good technical and organizational habits.
Why This Role MattersAs part of a small IT team, you'll have meaningful ownership and visibility across the organization. You'll be the person employees rely on for day‑to‑day technology needs while partnering with our managed IT provider for more advanced infrastructure and technical support.
