This position has holistic responsibility to ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations and drive the Drink
PAK. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all governmental agency (e.g., DOT, OSHA, NFPA, and EPA) regulations, training, and any other requirements by such agencies, our insurance companies, and company requirements. The EHS Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on all safety, compliance, regulatory and related insurance requirements.

PAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California facility.

- Establish and implement programs, training, practices and procedures to enhance the Drink Pak safety culture across all functions.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations and Company policies and procedures, through collaboration with legal, safety, and human resource staff.
- Proactively identify workplace hazard evaluations to determine risk to employee health and safety. Utilize hazard evaluations to implement EHS programs, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make recommendations and implement corrective action(s) based on industry standards.
- Coordinate the activities of the Safety Committee; review and discuss safety needs; provide regulatory updates and related safety and compliance information.
- Provide assistance to all locations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements; this may include but is not limited to administering tests and coordinating repairs and upgrades or similar tasks as assigned.
- Establishes and implements both tactical and strategic plans including objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors, evaluates, and audits program effectiveness; effects change necessary for improvement.
- Train and direct management to inspect facilities, work sites and equipment for violations and hazards. Provide direction to management on correcting identified problems in a timely manner. Follow up to make sure all corrective actions were taken and completed. Assist where needed.
- Investigate all accidents to determine the root cause, provide recommendations that eliminate or reduce future hazard or risk, and identify trends in safety incidents to drive strategic improvement in plant safety KPIs.
- Track and control inventory of safety supplies and equipment and work with department managers to keep adequate safety supplies on-hand.
- Review and update SDS and SPCC plans as needed.
- Serves as a safety/compliance liaison with outside organizations. May represent the Company as primary contact with worker's compensation and property and loss carriers. Coordinates on-site visits as needed.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Occupational Health or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment. Experience in Food & Beverage is a plus. Experience developing the EHS function is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, EPA, and other governmental regulations and laws including OSHA 300 logs and requirements by our insurance providers.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in manufacturing.
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
- OSHA General Industry 10- or 30-hour training course preferred.
