** Position Summary
** The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor records for a full-service resort and spa. This role supports daily accounting operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls, hospitality standards, and California labor and tax regulations.###
** Key Responsibilities
*** Process and code high-volume vendor invoices, matching purchase orders and receiving documents
* Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and proper GL coding
* Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and ensure compliance with 1099 requirements
* Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
* Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, and department managers regarding invoice issues
* Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and AP reconciliations
* Maintain organized AP records in accordance with company policy and audit standards
* Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
* Support internal and external audits as requested###
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Accounting or Finance preferred
* 1–3 years of accounts payable experience, hospitality or hotel experience strongly preferred
* Knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices
* Experience with hotel accounting systems (e.g., Maestro, M3, Birch Street, or similar) a plus
