THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Project Engineer
, you'll be an integral part of the project team, supporting the documentation, coordination, communication, and closeout activities necessary to successfully deliver our projects.

You'll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents while interacting with subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and other project partners.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how multifamily projects are managed while developing the technical and leadership skills needed to advance within construction management.

RFI Management

  • Receive and review subcontractor RFIs through Procore.
  • Determine whether RFIs require additional review or submission.
  • Submit and track RFIs through completion.
  • Distribute completed RFIs to all necessary project stakeholders.

Document Control

  • Maintain current project plans and documents in Procore.
  • Update and slip-sheet plan sets to incorporate ASIs, RFIs, and other revisions.
  • Help ensure the project team is working from current construction documents.

Submittal Management

  • Create and maintain the project submittal log.
  • Track subcontractor submittals and required due dates.
  • Review and submit documentation for appropriate review.
  • Coordinate final submittals and distribute approved documents to the appropriate parties.

Project Closeout

  • Track required closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate O&M manuals, warranties, training videos, as-built drawings, and other required closeout materials.
  • Help drive outstanding closeout items through completion.

Project Meetings & Communication

  • Assist with preparation of project meeting agendas.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare accurate meeting minutes.
  • Track action items and assist with follow-up.

Procore Management

  • Maintain project information within Procore.
  • Update project directories and main project information.
  • Help ensure project documentation remains accurate and organized.

Smart Barrel & Compliance

  • Work with subcontractors to ensure they can properly use Smart Barrel.
  • Assist with tracking required compliance documentation.
  • Follow up with subcontractors regarding missing or incomplete information.

Punch List

  • Work alongside the Superintendent to create and track project punch-list items.
  • Coordinate outstanding items and help drive them through completion.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Recent graduate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
    .
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Basic understanding of contract documents and the RFI process.
  • Entry-level exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
    .
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assignments.
  • Comfortable communicating and coordinating with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Initiative, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
