Special Education Teacher - Contract
Location: Santa Cruz, CA
Required QualificationsMust have an appropriate California Special Education Teaching Credential, i.e., Educational Specialist – Moderate Severe Disabilities, Extensive Support Needs OR Specialist Instruction, Severely Handicapped.
Must have EL Authorization.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree.
Prior teaching experience including experience and/or training within the domain of the required credential.
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying.
Providing directed learning experiences for students with severe cognitive disabilities and/or behavior disorders.
Help in the continued development of basic living and social skills and foster independence.
Coordinate activities of aides and volunteers in various directed learning locations.
Assess and manage student behavior and progress.
Perform related instructional duties as assigned.
