Bike Valet & Event Assistant

contractor will wo rk collaboratively with Bike Santa Cruz County (BSCC) Program Manager, Board of Directors, volunteers, and other contractors to coordinate bike valet events and be the team lead or team support at bike valet events.

Contractor will also Assist with BSCC community rides and special events, as needed and determined by the Program Manager.

Many of the events are evenings & weekends, but assignments are on a as needed basis as determined by the Program Manager.

• Coordinate site visits in advance of the event
• Document site visit via email to BSCC Program Manager. Include any assumptions, action items and next steps.
• Arrange for timely pick up and drop off of equipment and supplies to support the event.
• Provide day-of event support, including: coordination and management on site volunteers and security personnel, assignment and management of duties for volunteers, set-up display and distribute BSCC informational flyers, speak about BSCC events/advocacy
• Return equipment/supplies to storage, note any repairs/maintenance needed

• Assist with BSCC community rides and special events, as needed and determined by Program Manager

• Has a reliable vehicle, large enough to haul valet equipment to/from events across Santa Cruz County
• Can lift and safely move equipment, up to 35 pounds
• Has a flexible schedule and is typically available evenings & weekends for events
• Has community event experience, volunteer or paid
• LOVES bikes & sustainabletransportation, of course!
• Position is open until filled.

• Rate: $25.00/hour plus mileage at the current reimbursement rate
