Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, fire and sprinkler equipment, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair
  • Understand and have knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Maintain and repair walls, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, and woodwork in common areas
  • Basic prep and painting abilities
  • Repair and maintain vacated rooms in a timely manner, including painting walls and cleaning carpets
  • Handle all in‑house plumbing, e.g., sinks, toilets, and bathtubs
  • Perform minor electrical work, e.g., light switches, wall outlets, and garbage disposals
  • Paint all apartments and common areas
  • Repair, clean, and maintain all carpet, floor coverings, and furniture
  • Complete all work orders in a timely manner while noting any other work completed at the location
  • Document safety issues and physical plant deficiencies per local, county, state, and federal guidelines
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and cleaning of community vehicles (buses, cars, vans)
  • Assist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communications
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Maintenance Supervisor, or General Manager
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies based on established protocols
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (must be at least 18 years of age)
  • 1–3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, floor care, heating, and HVAC skills
  • Preferred knowledge of fire suppression & irrigation systems
  • Preferred motor vehicle maintenance ability
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary

Actual pay rate within the stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws.
