Arcades Maintenance Manager (Maintenance)

Job Summary

The Arcades & Games Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and operational reliability of the Boardwalks arcades, attractions, and midway games. This role leads the Games Maintenance and Arcade Maintenance teams, ensuring optimal game uptime, facility cleanliness, safety, and consistent guest ready conditions. The manager is accountable for labor management, project execution, game part inventory control, and budget oversight, while fostering a high‑performance, safety‑focused, communicative culture.

Must be available to work flexible schedules 7 days per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, generally between 7:30 AM and 1:00 AM. Occasionally work as early as 6:00 AM and as late as 4:00 AM. Works around cleaning agents and chemicals and wears a company‑issued uniform.

Job Tasks Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Games Maintenance and Arcade Maintenance staff.
  • Communicate departmental vision, direction, and expectations clearly to the team.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, productive communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and recognize outstanding performance.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels to support daily operations and seasonal demands.
  • Forecast annual labor budgets, coordinate changes for approval, communicate with Centralized scheduling.
Operations & Maintenance
  • Oversee daily arcade operations, ensuring arcades, games and attractions meet uptime standards and Santa Cruz Seaside Company (SCSC) guest experience standards.
  • Ensure arcade, attraction and games areas are well maintained, safe, and clean at all times.
  • Manage daily, weekly, operational checklists and scheduled maintenance checklists for Neptunes Kingdom, Casino Arcade buildings, all arcade areas, guest lockers, photobooths, playcard kiosks, arcade equipment, attractions and midway games.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support technicians in resolving complex problems.
  • Develop and manage pre‑maintenance schedule, cable management and standards for all arcades, midway games and attractions.
  • Take ownership as department representative in SCSC Safety Committee.
  • Maintain compliance with facility, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for maintenance shop facility and storage areas safety, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance upkeep.
  • Perform audits of maintenance work performed, provide feedback to team.
  • Complete inter departmental work orders and Tech Services support tickets and ensure completion.
  • Create procedures and policies to improve processes, bolster team structure, increase efficiency and improve collaboration.
Project & Work Order Management
  • Develop, implement, and manage a structured Arcades & Games Maintenance teamwork order system using Mobaro with clear accountability and follow through.
  • Coordinate cross departmentally with Facilities, Development, Maintenance, Tech Services, Marketing, and Operations departments to support daily operations, project planning and execution of upgrades, installs, and renovations.
  • Ensure all maintenance projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and terms.
Budgeting & Part Inventory Control
  • Manage arcade, attractions, and games arcade game purchasing budgets, repair budgets, and maintenance expense budgets.
  • Responsible for setting and meeting revenue and profitability budgets while controlling expenses.
  • Oversee and approve all buying and inventory management for arcade games, attractions, game parts, tools, equipment, and guest supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and availability.
  • Review, approve, and forecast expenditures to support operational needs and capital projects.
