Role at a Glance:

Paystand is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Customer Growth Manager to drive expansion revenue across an assigned book of customers. This role is responsible for owning and closing expansion opportunities, including upsell and cross-sell, by deepening customer value, identifying monetization opportunities, and executing the full commercial sales process.

Customer Growth Managers work closely with Customer Success and Customer Marketing to translate customer outcomes, product adoption, and market signals into qualified expansion opportunities. Once engaged, the Customer Growth Manager owns the opportunity end to end, from discovery and positioning through pricing, negotiation, and close.

This role plays a critical part in Paystand’s growth strategy by driving Expansion ARR and contributing directly to Net Dollar Retention.

What You'll Own:
  • Own a quota tied to Expansion ARR across an assigned book of customer accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities, including upsell and cross-sell
  • Own the full sales cycle for expansion opportunities, from discovery through close
  • Lead customer conversations related to expansion value, pricing, negotiation, and contract structure
  • Develop account-level growth strategies in partnership with Customer Success
  • Partner with Customer Marketing to execute targeted growth plays and campaigns
  • Collaborate with Renewals Managers on accounts where expansion opportunities surface during the renewal process
  • Forecast expansion pipeline accurately and maintain strong opportunity hygiene
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Rev Ops, and Operations to ensure efficient and compliant deal execution
How You’ll Operate:
  • Operate with a revenue-first mindset, focused on achieving and exceeding expansion targets
  • Leverage customer data, usage trends, and business context to identify high-quality expansion opportunities
  • Multi-thread relationships within customer accounts to build alignment and momentum
  • Navigate objections and competitive alternatives with confidence and credibility
  • Balance short-term deal execution with long-term account growth
How Success Is Measured:
  • Expansion ARR attainment
  • Expansion pipeline coverage and conversion
  • Contribution to Net Dollar Retention (in partnership with Renewals and Customer Success)
  • Forecast accuracy and deal execution discipline
What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS sales, account management, or a customer growth / expansion-focused role
