AP​/AR Lead

💰 Salary Range: $95,000–$105,000

We’re seeking an experienced A/R – A/P Lead with a strong construction accounting background to join a growing team in Santa Fe Springs. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys owning both receivables and payables processes while helping strengthen internal controls.

• Lead collections and support billing as needed
• Manage past‑due accounts, retainage, and customer follow‑ups
• Apply customer payments and process credit cards
• Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and collection status updates
• Support cash flow forecasting
• Resolve billing or collection issues in partnership with project managers

• Oversee processing of vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and job cost allocations
• Manage weekly payment runs
• Track compliance documentation including lien waivers, W-9s, insurance certificates, and business licenses

• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial processes

• 5+ years of A/R or A/P experience,
  preferably within the construction industry
• Prior experience in a Lead or Senior AP/AR role strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and subcontractor payments
• Familiarity with lien laws, retainage, and compliance documentation
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 100, Viewpoint, Procore, Spectrum, or similar
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
