Computer Aided Design Drafter

We are working with a client who is seeking a detail‑oriented CAD Drafter to join their team in the Santa Fe Springs area. This role is responsible for creating conceptual and installation drawings for our clients. The position will report directly to the CAD Supervisor. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week from 8am-5pm.

No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the south Los Angeles/north Anaheim area. No relocation provided.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Creating and altering conceptual and installation drawings in a timely manner
• Apply company standards to drawings
• Collaboration with project managers, salespersons, clients and contractors to establish project requirements for drawings
• Coordinate plan status with the CAD Supervisor to obtain drawing approval
• Change and update designs as requested by clients
• Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient design
• Effectively communicate project status to management
• Perform counts on plans
• Travel to job sites to take building & as-built measurements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree in related discipline (Drafting, Architecture, etc.)
• 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience
• High attention to detail
• Effective time management and ability to multitask
• Able to work independently
• Ability to understand CAD Standards and how to apply them
• Knowledgeable in setting up projects and executing designs
• Analytical, creative, and out of the box problem solver
