JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for facility maintenance, preventative maintenance program, security, repair, and physical operation of the equipment in the facility and performs related duties as required. This position performs skilled craft work under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Mechanic and, depending on the size of facility, may report to the Plant Manager or General Manager. Maintenance Mechanic II installs, maintains, repairs, and inspects mechanical equipment used in specialized food manufacturing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education
- * High School Diploma or equivalent helpful.

Training & Experience
- * 5 years in the trade as a mechanic/technician

* Two years experience in building construction, maintenance, or repair work; or, knowledge in the plumbing, electrical and welding fields.

- * Must have a valid California Class C Driver's License

Working knowledge of electronic mail, MS Word and Excel, and preventative maintenance programs like Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Able to learn and apply departmental or Company policies, procedures and rules. Ability to learn and apply Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations pertaining to building and equipment maintenance and repair.
