Shift: 2nd Shift (Training will take place on the 1st shift)

Tools of the Trade

• At least 3 years of experience operating manual surface grinders and milling machines
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship is a plus
• Strong knowledge of feeds/speeds, machining practices, and blueprint reading
• Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
• Familiarity with tight tolerances (±0.001") and working with various metals like steel and aluminum
• Experience in toolroom, mold, or die work preferred
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Your Role on the Floor

• Operate manual surface grinders and milling machines to meet exact part specifications
• Set up machines by selecting proper wheels, tools, speeds, and feeds
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical layouts
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
• Maintain documentation for quality checks and completed jobs
• Monitor machine performance and make fine-tune adjustments
• Perform basic maintenance and keep your work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety protocols and work independently to meet daily goals
