Location: On-site | Santa Fe Springs, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM (in-office)
Starting Pay: $24/hour

Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer Specialist to support purchasing operations within our FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring ingredients, raw materials, components, and packaging supplies required for the production of regulated topical pharmaceutical products.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of quality, compliance, timelines, and vendor accountability in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, active ingredients, excipients, components, and packaging materials
- Maintain strong relationships with qualified vendors and identify new suppliers as needed
- Ensure all materials meet FDA and cGMP compliance requirements
- Review and maintain documentation including Certificates of Analysis (COAs), specifications, and quality agreements
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to prevent shortages or overstock
- Track purchase orders, confirm delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies
- Work closely with Quality, Production, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and continuity
- Assist with cost control initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP or inventory management systems
- Support audits and provide documentation as required
- 1+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- Experience working in FDA-regulated or cGMP environments is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience purchasing pharmaceutical ingredients or regulated materials
- Understanding of supply chain logistics and quality control processes
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Bilingual (English + Spanish) is a plus, but not required
- Competitive starting pay at $24/hour
- Stable Monday–Friday schedule with consistent in-office hours. No weekends/late hours.
