Sunstates Security is currently hiring Full‑Time, Part‑Time and Flex Security Officers at a new site opening in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Multiple positions and schedules are available; specific schedules will be discussed during interview. This position offers a pay rate of $20.50 per hour, paid weekly. Anticipated start date:
August 1, 2026.
- Current CA Guard Card
- Clean motor vehicle driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Interior/Exterior facility patrol
- Gate access control
- Customer service experience
- Patrolling & de‑escalation skills required
- Dispatching or concierge experience preferred
- Prior security/military/law enforcement experience preferred
The scheduling parameters and expectations for a Flex Officer differ from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post.
- Training at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; may work at a specific post for several weeks but not permanently.
- Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) varies with operational need.
- Assigned or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
- Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others may require short‑notice coverage.
- Expected to work any shift scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described.
- Must communicate any unavoidable unavailability to supervisor.
- For short‑notice call‑ins, expected to work at least 80 % of requested shifts; refusing more than 20 % may negatively impact employment status.
High School diploma or equivalent.
CertificationCA Guard Card.
