Job Details

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Administer the company's payroll ensuring all aspects are processed correctly and on time.
  • Conduct a thorough review of financial statements and other documentation for discrepancies and inaccuracies.
  • Implement and maintain financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Complete end-of-month close procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and accounting software programs.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and hands‑on with good initiative.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Experience with payroll management is a must.
