Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a local accounting firm.
DescriptionStaff accountant works under the supervision of a supervisor, manager or partner as appropriate.
Responsibilities- Prepare complex tax returns and special projects as needed
Administrative duties such as maintaining schedules, providing telephone support, production and filing of forms.
Interacting with clients to discuss their financial matters, such as discussions regarding information needed to prepare the tax returns or financial statements as deemed appropriate by their supervisor.
General bookkeeping needs including preparing journal entries for clients.
Understanding and use of tax software, electronic filing system, analytical/data mining software and other software as deemed appropriate by their supervisor.
- Accounting Degree or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
- Experience reviewing tax returns
