The position is responsible for auditing a variety of payment vouchers to internal and external entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with State/Federal rules and regulations and the NM State Procurement code. This position will maintain a state issue procurement card (P-card). This position will also be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to the various divisions and facilities.

Conduct comprehensive and complete audits of standard vouchers, travel vouchers, Prior-Year vouchers, non-travel vouchers, and journal vouchers. They will review and submit documentation for warrant cancellations and reissue payments. Assist internal entities with transactions made with the agency's p-card. Prepare reconciliation documents related to expenses incurred on the assigned p-card. Assist as necessary to process invoices for payment. Assist with mailing of state issued warrants/ACH remittance.

Provide guidance and assistance to DOH divisions and facilities, other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge in providing professional customer service.
• Knowledge with travel & training requests.
• Knowledge of NM Procurement Code.

High School or Equivalency and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.

This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
