- Oversee daily work activities
- Promote enhanced safety compliance and performance
- Provide safety training through coaching, mentoring, and required training
- Perform daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual inspections on tools, equipment, and facility items
- Ensure implementation of company policies, procedures, and work processes
- Monitor compliance with company, client, and governmental safety rules and regulations
- Conduct frequent inspections focused on unsafe conditions and work behavior
- Document and delegate corrective actions for immediate resolution
- Participate in facility new employee orientations
- Maintain HSE records in compliance with recordkeeping standards
- Facilitate or coordinate safety training and forward completed documentation to the training center
- Conduct facility hazard inspections and ensure hazard controls for machines, equipment, vehicles, and tools
- Ensure incident reports are completed and submitted timely
- Investigate incidents, first aids, and near misses; participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations
- Obtain witness statements and submit medical documentation to Corporate HSE Management
- Transport injured employees to a medical facility when required
- Coordinate Facility Emergency Action Plan procedures
- Verify employees are issued and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Perform regular jobsite inspections of crews and document unsafe practices and conditions
- Ensure proper fire extinguishers and first aid supplies are maintained
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ safety experience
- Any certifications and training as a safety professional a plus
- OSHA Out-Reach Trainer preferred
- Must be familiar with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
- Prolonged periods sitting / standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
Demonstrates expertise in safety compliance, training, and incident investigation, with a strong focus on OSHA regulations and effective communication skills. Proficient in maintaining HSE records and conducting thorough inspections to ensure workplace safety.
