Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000 per year
About Southwestern College
Southwestern College (SWC) is a consciousness-centered, transformational learning community in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our graduate programs integrate academic excellence with holistic, experiential, and reflective learning, preparing students to serve as compassionate change agents in the world.
We are seeking a full-time Counseling Faculty member to join our master's degree clinical academic programs. This position is ideal for educators passionate about transformational teaching, reflective practice, and preparing the next generation of mental health counselors.
The Opportunity

Teach graduate-level counseling courses (minimum 9 units per quarter)
Mentor and advise students academically and professionally
Engage in reflective, competency-based assessment methods
Support adjunct faculty through recruitment and supervision
Contribute to curriculum design aligned with CACREP and SWC standards
Participate in governance, program meetings, and institution-wide initiatives
Engage in scholarly or creative professional practice

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling or closely related field
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico & Supervisor License (or eligibility within six months)
Graduate-level teaching experience in counseling or related discipline
Experience in curriculum development and program design
Proficiency with LMS, SIS, and Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D., Psy.

D., or equivalent) in Counseling, Counselor Education, Art Therapy, or related field
Experience teaching experientially or reflectively
Professional engagement (ACA, NMCA) or scholarly contributions
