As an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Admissions Advisor at NMSU Global Campus, your primary responsibilities will revolve around engaging with prospective students who express interest in our online degree and certificate programs. You will manage the entire enrollment journey by providing personalized guidance and support throughout the admissions process, serving as their primary point of contact, ensuring all required documents and information are submitted accurately and in a timely manner, and reviewing applications to assist in meeting admission requirements.
You will facilitate a seamless transition of admitted students into the NMSU Global Campus community, build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, address their questions and concerns, and provide ongoing support to nurture their interest. Collaboration with academic advisors, faculty, and other campus departments, proactive monitoring of student progress to promote student retention and success, and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned are also part of the role.
Required
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a higher‑education admissions or enrollment services environment, strong communication skills, commitment to student diversity and inclusion, ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting, and proficiency with virtual engagement tools.
Technical Connectivity RequirementsFor roles that use call systems or provide synchronous support, employees must maintain a stable, low‑latency internet connection capable of supporting continuous voice communications without interruption. Wired Ethernet is strongly preferred; equivalent wired or business‑grade connections may be acceptable. Consumer Wi‑Fi–only connections (without a hardwired device connection) are not accepted. These requirements are subject to reasonable accommodation in accordance with applicable law.
Working Conditions and Physical EffortEnvironment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average‑weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
