Journey Montessori is an AMI recognized Montessori School in Santa Fe, New Mexico serving ages 3-14 in primary, elementary and adolescent environments.

In combination with offering authentic Montessori environments, Journey offers a robust outdoor education program.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year DOE

We are seeking experienced and dedicated AMI Montessori Guides to join our team. As an AMI Montessori Guide, you are responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of children.

Your role will involve implementing the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, while providing individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of each child and embracing our robust and fun outdoor education programming.

The ideal candidate for this role has deep knowledge and experience with the Montessori Method (AMI), is creative, responsible, organized, reliable, emotionally mature, and possesses a love of nature.

In addition to an AMI Diploma and a willingness to maintain Montessori standards, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is comfortable in the outdoors - guiding, exploring andcampingwith children.

Qualifications:
AMI Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (preferred)
Minimum 3 years experience in a Montessori environment (preferred)
Ability to guide children in nature and hike with a backpack
Experience driving a 15 passenger van (prefered but can train)
Experience working with neurodiverse children (preferred)

Work Environment and Requirements in addition to classroom duties:
Attend all staff meetings and in-service days
Maintain 24 hours of ECECD approved training yearly
Maintain CPR certification every two years
Maintain Wilderness First Aid certification
Read, work and conduct oneself within the guidelines of the JMS Employee handbook
Attend and participate in school functions
Conduct oneself professionally
Follow professional dress-code
Support JMS mission and policies
