General FunctionSupervise students during their lunch period to ensure the safety and welfare of students during non-classroom activities.
Education/Training/Experience- Minimum: Must be at least 18 years old. Able to pass a background check.
- Preferred: Bilingual Spanish/English.
Skills and Abilities
Maintain order in groups of children. Handle any problems that arise. Communicate observations and incidents that may impact a student's development or general well-being of other school personnel.
Essential Job Functions$15.20 per hour
Resources Used in Performing Job IncludeA limited variety standard office equipment, including hand-held radios, computers, copiers, and phone systems.
Physical/Cognitive RequirementsThe work is primarily performed in a school setting. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations, at times bending, squatting, and reaching. The ability to lift, carry, push up to 40 pounds. Physical strength and ability to assist injured students. Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
EnvironmentalConditions
Duties performed in typical school settings that may include offices, cafeteria, classrooms, gym, and auditorium. Candidate will be subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, noise, and hazards. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
