They lead the process of identifying appropriate actions and creating accommodation plans that support the whole team, student, teacher and family alike. For some students, this includes referring for diagnostic evaluations, helping parents and faculty interpret results, connecting families with specialized services, and coordinating with outside instructors or tutors.
The role also involves close collaboration with administration and faculty to ensure curricular offerings are differentiated to meet every student's needs, whether through training and workshops, team teaching, or small‑group support within the classroom.
Social‑emotional development is at the core of teaching and learning at Arts & Sciences, which is why the ideal candidate brings genuine experience working within a school community, not just a clinical setting.
