Position: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Santa Fe, NM

Your expertise will ensure students receive high-quality instruction tailored to their individual needs, with caseload details to be provided. As the sole specialist for this assignment, your impact will be significant—providing guidance, support, and advocacy for children and their families throughout the school year.

Desired Experience and Qualifications
  • Certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for certification
  • Experience providing instructional support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs to support diverse learners
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct instruction to students with varying hearing needs
  • Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, and families to support student growth
  • Develop and adapt classroom materials using appropriate technologies and accommodations
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students and staff regarding deaf/hard of hearing education
