The Rio Grande School seeks dynamic, positive, collaborative, patient, and engaging individuals to work with great students and families in its Extended Care Program. Rio Grande School is a coeducational, nonsectarian, independent elementary school for students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.

The Extended Care Educator requires the ability to provide a positive and safe after-school experience for elementary-age children. Desired applicants must enjoy working with children and be prepared to engage students in various after-school activities. Some examples of activities include, but are not limited to, homework support, board games, crafts, sports games, etc. We are hiring two qualified individuals. The current positions available are working with either our three and four-year-old students OR upper grades (K-6).

Rio Grande School serves students from three years old to sixth grade, with class sizes ranging from 15-20 students, and a total school population of 165. Founded in 1978, the school is located on five acres in the northeast section of town. Our neighbors include St. John’s College, Santa Fe Prep, and Museum Hill. The school is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.
