Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high‑technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose‑driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Research Scientist IV. This position will be located in Rolla, MO.
SummaryResearch Scientists act as the technical lead for research and development of products. Research Scientists are also responsible for designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyses, and processes to develop new product offerings.
Responsibilities- Execute laboratory experiments, including chemical reactions, synthesis, sample preparation, and performance characterization to develop new chemical products, improve existing formulations, and optimize manufacturing processes, with minimal supervision.
- Process and analyze experimental data using statistical methods and software tools to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for further experimentation or process refinement.
- Maintain detailed records and lab notebooks of experimental procedures, results, and observations. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including chemists, engineers, and manufacturing specialists to support project objectives and drive innovation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.
- Take ownership of small development sub‑projects as assigned.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform research strategies.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property through patent disclosures and publications.
- Give presentations to customers and at industry forums.
- Work closely with project lead to drive project management tasks including planning and meeting project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry related discipline and 6+ years of experience or
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or related discipline and 4+ years of experience or
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
