Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, testing, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment
- Evaluate components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
- Provide technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment
- Perform aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment
- Support aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations
- Assist in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks
- Deploy worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations, including hostile environments
- Minimum of five years of aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience
- Must be able to operate as a single maintainer at either CONUS or OCONUS locations, including hostile areas
- Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems
- Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
- Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
- Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
- CompTIA Security+ certified or within 12 months
SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government, this position requires U.S. citizenship and a U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with Top Secret/SCI eligibility.
Travel Requirements- Up to 50% including OCONUS deployments and CONUS TDYs
