Position SummaryThe Associate Manager - DP Operations will be responsible for overseeing Depository Participant (DP) operations, ensuring seamless execution of depository-related activities, regulatory compliance, risk control, and service delivery. The role involves managing daily DP processes, coordinating with NSDL/CDSL, handling client queries, and ensuring adherence to SEBI, Exchange, and Depository regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end DP operations including account opening, modification, closure, demat/remat, transmission, and pledge activities.
- Ensure compliance with NSDL/CDSL, SEBI, Stock Exchange, and internal operational guidelines.
- Supervise daily reconciliation of client holdings, beneficiary accounts, and depository records.
- Monitor off-market transactions, corporate actions, pledge/unpledge, and settlement-related activities.
- Handle audits, inspections, compliance reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Identify operational risks and implement controls to minimize errors and process gaps.
- Resolve escalations related to DP operations and ensure timely client servicing.
- Coordinate with compliance, risk management, and technology teams for process improvements.
- Lead and mentor team members to achieve operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Maintain operational MIS, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in DP Operations within a Stock Broking, Depository Participant, or Capital Market organization.
- Strong knowledge of NSDL/CDSL operations, depository processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of SEBI regulations, KYC norms, settlement processes, and investor servicing.
- Experience in audit handling, reconciliations, and operational risk management.
