Position: Adolescent BH Crisis Counselor/Full-Time

DEPARTMENT: Community Health

POSITION SUMMARY: The goal of the Adolescent Behavioral Health Crisis Counselor is to provide behavioral health assessment, care management, and interventions for adolescent patients presenting in behavioral health crisis in the CSV emergency department and/or CSV clinical departments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing behavioral health assessment, crisis interventions, and case management for adolescent patients experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
  • Collaborating with medical providers, psychiatric providers, and other care team members to ensure appropriate referral to the level of care.
  • Providing clinical case management to transition patients to community services, outpatient providers, or inpatient facilities as needed.
  • Participating in supervision of provisionally licensed counselors or social workers, when appropriate.
