The Senior Program Coordinator will:
- Collaborate with internal staff and external partners with regard to Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs) and compliance with State and Federal requirements;
- Manage staff and work closely with them on application reviews and approvals for new OTP sites, providing technical assistance and training, and being a liaison between federal partners and State partners;
- Work closely with the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) team to help prioritize efforts across the state and help strategically plan expansion and improvement efforts.
The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for:
- Managing Medicated Assistance Treatment (MAT) Coordinator staff, OTP facilities, and federal partners to ensure program compliance and federal compliance;
- Assisting with any needed regulation changes, customer or partners complaints/concerns, application reviews and approvals for OTP sites, renewal applications for OTP sites, and necessary site visits and reviews for facilities;
- Providing leadership for the team; clear and effective communication, both written and oral; and provide fiscal management for the programs and related grant activities to ensure federal and state compliance, fiscal accountability, and transparency of funding;
- Working closely with staff as well as its Administrative Operations Managers and leadership for planning, projects, data collection and dissemination, and continual improvement measures;
- New Mexico citizens;
- State & Federal government departments;
- Provider agencies to include OTP sites around the state.
The Ideal Candidate has:
- Experience with in OTPs and /or methadone distribution, grant management, fiscal/budgetary management, supervisory experience, and program management experience;
- Excellent organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication, ability to multitask, ability to work in stressful situations with tight deadlines, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Associate's Degree and three (3) years of experience in program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Work is generally performed in an office setting with personal computer and telephone usage for extended periods of time. Some in-state and/or out-of-state travel is required.
