We are seeking an experienced HP/Lenovo Break-Fix Technician for a freelance onsite dispatch role supporting enterprise and retail clients across New Mexico. The technician will be responsible for providing onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and hardware replacement services for laptops, desktops, printers, POS systems, and related peripherals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform onsite break/fix support for HP and Lenovo laptops, desktops, and tablets.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues.
  • Replace hardware components including motherboards, screens, batteries, RAM, SSDs, keyboards, webcams, and other peripherals.
  • Provide support for HP printers including Laser Jet, Office Jet, Desk Jet, Envy, A4, and A3 series.
  • Troubleshoot printer issues such as paper jams, toner problems, imaging defects, and connectivity issues.
  • Support retail POS systems including barcode scanners, receipt printers, monitors, and cash drawers.
  • Respond to ticket-based dispatch requests and complete service calls within SLA timelines.
  • Coordinate with dispatch teams, remote support engineers, and end users during onsite visits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and service activities through ticketing systems.
  • Follow HP/Lenovo service standards, compliance requirements, and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in HP/Lenovo break/fix or field service support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for laptops, desktops, printers, and POS devices.
  • Experience with onsite dispatch or field support environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations within New Mexico.
  • Flexible availability for freelance or contract-based assignments.
