IT Specialist # Full-Time, Permanent position in Santa Fe, NM.

Target Pay Range: $31.978-$39.972 per hour or $66,514.24-$83,141.76 annually

The First Judicial District Court is recruiting for one full-time IT Specialist in the Court Administration Division, Santa Fe, New Mexico. General statement of duties: under general supervision, perform technology support and analysis in the areas of client, field, and/or applications support.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for end users, vendors, and staff to resolve computer hardware, operating system, software applications, servers, networks, and telecommunication related issues.
  • Develop software and hardware replacement schedules.
  • Install, configure, and test protocols on various operating systems and platforms.
  • Write login scripts, use templates, map network drives, and perform backups and restores of data.
  • Plan and organize initiatives to integrate, upgrade, replace, install, and configure computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, servers, networks, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Implement emergency plans, including disaster recovery procedures.
  • Install, configure, analyze, and test computer images to develop baseline production images for staff.
  • Download, install, and perform administrative tasks for operating system security patches to protect against malicious attacks and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain security on operating systems, software applications, and servers; update anti-virus definitions to protect against threats.
  • Administer end-user accounts to ensure secure passwords and permissions are applied to files and folders to protect data.
  • Migrate data between servers and maintain directory structures on servers.
  • Create, configure, verify, and maintain tape backup jobs; restore data from backup tapes as needed.
  • Set up, configure, and test delivered equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to judicial entities.
  • Develop training manuals and procedures for judicial entity applications, processes, and forms.
  • Review existing applications, execute test cases, and report test failures to vendors or developers.
  • Provide technology application support and design, define, analyze, and implement application software and new processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, IT engineering, or other directly related field.
  • Education Substitution:
    Four (4) years of related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience:

    None required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment is office or court-based. A valid driver's license and travel may be required. The work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. The employee must regularly interact positively with co-workers, clients, the public, judges, and justices.
