The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute (SFFMI) is seeking an inspiring Executive Director to lead our critical mission. This is your chance to direct all major functions of a thriving nonprofit—from strategic fundraising and innovative programming to organizational finance and external relations—and make a tangible, positive impact on our community.

As our Executive Director, you will be the face of the organization, providing leadership to staff and achieving business goals set by the Board of Directors to ensure near- and long-term success.
Your Impact Areas:- Visionary Leadership: Drive the Institute’s future strategic direction and ensure well-planned growth in accordance with our mission.
- Fundraising Powerhouse: Lead the creation and execution of an annual development plan, overseeing key revenue drivers including corporate sponsor ships, individual support, foundation grants, and events.
- Program Excellence: Provide oversight for mission-consistent programming that is financially sustainable, scalable, and delivers demonstrable benefit to our core constituents.
- Community Connector: Steward essential relationships with the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, government representatives, media, donors, and the farmers and ranchers we serve.
- Operational Management: Direct internal operations, finance (including the annual budget and audit), and building management.
We require a minimum of 10 years of nonprofit or organization-level leadership experience and a demonstrable track record of successful fundraising. You must be an organized, collaborative, and inspiring team leader invested in making a meaningful contribution to Northern New Mexico’s agricultural sector.
Required Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of organization-level leadership experience.
- Demonstrable track record of successful fundraising.
- Experience working effectively with nonprofit boards.
- Superb written, verbal, and people skills.
- Knowledge of commercial leasing and building management.
- Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000, depending on experience.
- Performance Bonus: Up to 40% of base salary, based on achieving specified performance targets.
- Benefits: Qualified healthcare reimbursement account, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and 403B retirement savings account.
- Schedule: Full-Time/Exempt. Occasional weekend and evening work required.
