Current New Mexico RN license or Compact State License BLS Certification (AHA required) Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program On-Call Requirement: 1–2 weekends per month 8–10 days per month Floating:
No floating required
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the assigned patient population. The RN ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality care consistent with unit standards, mission, and organizational goals. Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, and respect toward patients, families, physicians, and staff.
Skills Required:
Knowledge appropriate to age-specific patient populations Understanding of patient rights Clear and concise communication skills Work Environment:
Exposure to blood borne pathogens (Category B & C depending on unit) Exposure to infectious diseases and X-rays Fast-paced, potentially stressful environment Flexible scheduling due to emergencies
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Heavy lifting (positioning/transferring patients) Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping Good visual acuity and hearing Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills
