Position: Travel Registered Nurse - Surgery - $2,464 per week

GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
  • Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state RN license
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • ACLS Certification (AHA)
  • At least 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative/surgical nursing)
  • Current clinical knowledge and skills appropriate to the surgical patient population
  • Clear, effective communication with patients, surgeons, anesthesiology, and multidisciplinary team members
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement patient care for surgical cases, ensuring quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes
  • Demonstrate clinical proficiency in perioperative nursing practices (scrub/circulator roles, sterile technique, instrumentation)
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, equipment, and supplies for a variety of surgical procedures
  • Maintain compliance with unit standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative support staff
  • Respond to intraoperative emergencies and adapt to unexpected changes in schedule or patient condition
  • Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care while respecting patient rights and dignity
  • Assist with positioning, transferring, and preparing patients and equipment for surgery
