American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg
- Acute Orthopedics travel position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring BLS certification and a valid NM or compact RN license.

• Acute Orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic and general Med/Surg cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement of 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
• On-call is not required but may be requested if census rises
• Floating required to all Med/Surg departments within the unit's float pool
• EMR:
  Epic
• 13-week contract

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state (NM license not required prior to submission — can be applied for upon offer)
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred

• Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients using the nursing process
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
• Grey scrubs required
• Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have a 6-month separation period before being considered for a travel assignment — this applies across the entire CHRISTUS Health System
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a radius rule; local candidates are not accepted on all positions
