Travel RN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool - Nights position at a regional medical center in Santa Fe, NM, requiring a NM or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS.

• Active NM RN license or current compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on the units floated to
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Assignment is in a hospital Nursing Float Pool, requiring rotation across multiple units
• Weekend availability required
• On-call requirement applies
• Floating to various units is required
• EMR:
  Epic (experience required)
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements timely interventions based on patient needs
• Coordinates team assignments and delegates patient care tasks appropriately, following up on quality and completeness
• Participates in patient and family education as well as discharge planning
• Performs Point of Care testing procedures
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted on all positions
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Copies of all active certifications must be included — expired certifications will result in disqualification
