Registered Nurse (RN) PACUAs a Registered Nurse (RN) PACU at Los Alamos Medical Center you will deliver critical postoperative nursing care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Your responsibilities include assessing patient condition, planning and implementing care, and communicating changes to the surgical team.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment
- Reports to the Director of Surgery
- Current RN license in state of practice
- BLS required
- PALS required within 3 months of employment
- One year of experience preferred

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Services you will provide care for patients in the emergency department and coordinate care throughout the hospital.
- Patient Populations Served:
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. - Protected Health Information Accessed:
Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. - Exposure:
Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present for all employees. - Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
- Current RN license in state of practice
