Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments; establish care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care
• Reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention and modify the plan of care accordingly
• Delegate and coordinate unit work assignments, follow up on delegated tasks, and adjust team assignments based on patient and unit needs
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; implement and document timely, appropriate interventions
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures and maintain compliance with all patient and environmental safety policies

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact state license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the developmental age of the patient

• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Demonstrated ability to float across multiple Medical/Surgical departments
• Flexibility to assist with on-call needs in response to census fluctuations

• Weekend rotation is shared equitably among staff, with no mandatory on-call requirement
