American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a NM or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Work in the Acute Oncology unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full time, 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation required

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• 1 year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• BSN preferred

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned oncology patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for local candidate consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
