American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring an active NM or Compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Acute Observation unit within a hospital setting
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Full-time schedule with 2 to 4 weekend shifts per month rotated among staff
• On-call requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month rotated among staff
• Floating required to all Med/Surg departments under the same nursing leadership
• Uses EPIC EMR

• Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state license required
• BLS certification via AHA required
• BSN preferred
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred

• Provide direct nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients and family members on care needs and available resources
• Delegate and coordinate care among team members as needed
• Grey scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local rate eligibility
• Local candidates may be accepted depending on facility approval
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
