American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN for a Post Surgical unit requiring PALS certification and floating within surgical services.

• Post Surgical PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4, 10-hour rotating shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Full time contract for 13 weeks
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month (12-hour shifts, Sat/Sun counts as 1 weekend)
• On-call requirement of one night per week
• Floating required within surgical services
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NM RN license or compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to age of population served in PACU
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates outcomes
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Performs point of care testing procedures
• Graphite gray scrubs required
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before being considered for a travel assignment
