GZA Geo Environmental, Inc. (GZA) d/b/a Glorieta Geoscience is seeking a motivated Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Hydrologist, or Water Resources Professional to join our Santa Fe, NM office.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced scientists and water resource professionals on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout New Mexico and the Southwest. You will join our team of consulting scientists who work on a variety of projects involving water exploration, water rights analysis and compliance, environmental due diligence and site characterization, and water resource assessments.
We are looking for an individual who is eager to grow professionally, enjoys solving complex environmental and water resource challenges, and thrives in a collaborative consulting environment.
What You'll Do
As part of our team, you will contribute to a variety of technical projects, including:
- Conducting geologic, hydrogeologic, hydrologic, and environmental field investigations
- Supporting groundwater resource evaluations and water supply assessments
- Performing water rights research, permitting support, and regulatory compliance activities
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting field and environmental data
- Utilizing GIS and other analytical tools to evaluate and present project findings
- Preparing technical reports, memoranda, maps, figures, and supporting documentation
- Maintaining thorough and accurate field records and project documentation
- Collaborating with senior scientists, project managers, and principals on multidisciplinary projects
- Support additional environmental, water resource, and geological projects as needed within GZA's collaborative "One Company" environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or a related field (Master'spreferredbutnotrequired).
- 2–7 years of relevant professional experience with water resources, groundwater investigations, environmental consulting, or water rights-related projects
- Highattentiontodetailandabilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
- Workingknowledgeof
ArcGIS/GISapplicationsandcommonsoftwaresuchas Microsoft Word and Excel. - Abilitytofollowdirections,solve problems,andsupportmultipleprojectactivities.
- Availabilitytoworkoccasionaleveningsandweekendsasneededtomeetprojectdemands.
