Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer
Position Overview
As a Software Developer, you will be part of a collaborative team building scalable, reactive web applications using modern full‑stack technologies. You’ll be mentored by experienced professionals and expected to contribute to real‑world deliverables while continuously learning and growing.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & Engineering:
- Develop and maintain full‑stack web applications using Java, Spring Reactive, and React JS
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and reactive microservices
- Build responsive, dynamic, and accessible user interfaces using React JS
- Write clean, modular, and well‑documented code.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate via Git Hub or Git Lab
- Work with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Docker is a plus
- Explore and utilize AI‑powered tools like Git Hub Copilot or Cursor
- Stay updated with emerging technologies
- Participate in tech talks, workshops, and hackathons
- Work in Agile teams and participate in ceremonies
- Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, and backend developers
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Maintain technical documentation
- Provide regular updates on progress
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundation in Java and OOP
- Exposure to Spring Boot and Reactive Programming
- Basic understanding of React JS, HTML, CSS, and Java Script
- Familiarity with REST APIs
- Good problem‑solving and communication skills
- Experience with Git Hub Copilot or Cursor
- Knowledge of Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
New hires will be hired at the Cognizant office in Plano, TX, where you will work alongside other experienced Cognizant associates delivering technology solutions. Applicants must be willing to relocate to this major geographic area. While we attempt to honor candidate location preferences, business needs and position availability will determine final location assignment.

Salary and Other CompensationApplications are accepted on an ongoing basis. The annual salary for this position is $65,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
