Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles, providing courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
- Check shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service.
- Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area.
- Perform related customer service functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Monday to Friday 07:30 AM - 18:00 PM
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to read and speak English adequately to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
JobConditions
Neat appearance necessary as customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations, including a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as required by state law for the vehicle type assigned, and have a good driving record. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 21 years of age, consistently lift 50 pounds, High School / GED Diploma, Valid Driver’s License consistently for the past two years. Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.
Pay TransparencyStarting Pay: $22.30 per hour.
